Trevor has benefited from masterclass and mentorship guidance from distinguished cellists, including Benedict Kloeckner, Csaba Onczay, David Cohen, Edgar Moreau, Giovanni Gnocchi, Mario Brunello, and Troels Svane.
A multi-prize winner, Trevor has claimed first, second, and third prizes across various categories at the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, and was honored with the ESF Chairman's Award for Creativity for his musical achievements. As a soloist, he performed at the 2023 HKAPA Cello Festival and has been invited to perform at Teatro Thália in Lisbon as part of the Verão Clássico 2026 Festival.
An active ensemble musician, Trevor’s orchestral experience includes performances with the Greater Bay Area Youth Orchestra, the U of T Symphony Orchestra, and the HKAPA Junior Symphony Orchestra. He is also a founding member of the Cantilena Trio, alongside two fellow University of Toronto students.
Trevor's teaching experience spans both mathematics and music. He has served as a teaching assistant for an IGCSE Advanced Mathematics class at ESF Island School and has tutored younger students through a high school tutoring program, supporting students who needed help rebuilding confidence and foundational understanding.
In music, Trevor teaches cello with attention to both technical foundation and musical expression. His cello teaching covers posture, sound production, bow control, left-hand technique, repertoire, interpretation, and practice strategies. He has experience working with students from beginner levels to more advanced, conservatory-preparatory contexts, including focused technical coaching on right-arm and bow technique.
